Mud Coffee


	When I think about the original Mud blend, I think about the music thing. I think about the personality of the beans. Each country that I used seemed to bring its own uniqueness into the blend. What I set out to do was create a full, extremely complex, naturally sweet, highly caffeinated blend with low acidity and no bitterness. A year of cupping later, the band was formed and the Mud blend hit the New York City streets. Almost four years and several awards later, the blend has been tasted by millions of New Yorkers and is still at the top of the charts. -Mudman

Instead of boring you with the same old coffee facts you'll find anywhere, here are some of the lessons we have learned and questions we ask ourselves as coffee students in the world's largest city.

1. If a person lives alone, often their coffee order is the first thing from their lips. Many people stutter before their first sip of coffee.

2. If a person lives with another person or lover, the first thing from their lips is often their coffee order.

3. Would AA work without caffeine?

4. Would police stations work without caffeine?

5. Buying a cup of coffee for the next person in line causes an instant wave of love throughout the line.

6. Buying a cup of coffee for the entire line is like God had just descended and bought a cup of coffee for the whole world.

7. Coffee lines are great places for phone number exchanges.

8. A coffee line is a great place to pop the question (answer negotiable after coffee).

9. If you're thinking about playing hooky, don't decide until after your first cup of coffee - then quit.

10. Spiders spin their webs differently on caffeine than on other drugs. (check out the graphics below)


		NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center researchers reported varying results when they gave various mind-altering substances to household spiders, then observed their webs. The spiders exposed to marijuana did the best spinning. Dr. David Noever, head of the research team, stated that the worst web was spun by a spider dosed with caffeine. April 1995.
